Child Safety Standards
Last Updated: May 5, 2026
Wateeno has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content,
account, or behavior that involves the sexualization, exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of a minor
is strictly prohibited and is not tolerated on the platform.
Minimum age
Wateeno is intended for users 16 and older. We collect a date of birth during sign-up to
verify that new users meet this minimum age. Accounts found to belong to users under 16 are removed
from the platform.
Prohibited content
The following are explicitly forbidden on Wateeno and result in immediate account termination and, where
required, reporting to law enforcement:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including digitally generated imagery
- Sexualized depictions of minors, including drawings, animations, or AI-generated content
- Grooming, solicitation, or any sexual messaging directed at minors
- Sextortion, threats, blackmail, or harassment of minors
- Sharing of identifying information about a minor without their guardian's consent
- Linking to off-platform CSAM or facilitating its distribution
- Content that endangers a minor's safety, including dangerous challenges or self-harm encouragement
How we prevent and respond
- Age verification at sign-up — birthday is required and verified against our minimum
age policy
- Automated content filter — text content is scanned against a server-managed
blocked-words list before publication
- In-app reporting — every Ring, comment, chat message, and user profile can be
reported with one tap
- In-app blocking — users can block or restrict other users at any time
- Human moderation — reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team. Confirmed
violations result in content removal and account suspension or termination
- Ephemeral chat — direct-message media auto-deletes within 24 hours, reducing the
window in which abusive content can be shared or discovered
- Cooperation with law enforcement — we report suspected CSAM to the National Center
for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in accordance with U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. §
2258A) and to equivalent authorities in other jurisdictions where required
Reporting child safety concerns
If you encounter content or behavior on Wateeno that puts a minor at risk, please report it
immediately:
- Inside the app — tap the report icon on the Ring, comment, message, or user
profile, then choose the relevant category
- By email — send a description and any supporting links to
support@wateeno.com
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then
report to the appropriate child safety authority (in the U.S.: NCMEC CyberTipline).
We also accept reports through our designated contact below and will cooperate with law enforcement
investigations.
Response time
Reports of suspected CSAE are prioritized over all other moderation queues. Our trust and safety team
aims to triage child-safety reports within 24 hours and to act on confirmed violations within 7 days,
including the preservation and reporting of evidence to NCMEC and other relevant authorities.

protection laws, please contact:

Compliance and legal framework
Wateeno's child safety practices are designed to comply with:

(18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
- Article 8 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regarding the processing of personal
data of minors
- Applicable national and regional child-safety regulations in jurisdictions where Wateeno is
available
- Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and Apple App Store Review Guidelines

policies change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Significant changes will also be communicated in-app.
