Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Wateeno account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this — choose whichever works best for you.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

If you can still sign in, this is the fastest way. Your account is deleted immediately.

Open the Wateeno app and sign in.
Go to the Profile tab.
Tap Settings (gear icon).
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm with your password to proceed.

Option 2 — Email us a deletion request

If you no longer have the app installed, can't sign in, or prefer to have us handle it for you, send a request to support@wateeno.com.

Please include the following so we can locate your account:

The email address associated with your Wateeno account
Your username (if you remember it)
A short note confirming you want the account permanently deleted

We'll respond within 7 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your request, in line with applicable privacy laws.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

Your profile (username, name, email, profile photo, bio, social links, birthday)
All Rings (videos and photos) you posted
All comments you made
All chat messages, voice notes, photos, and videos you sent
Likes, follows, and other interaction history
Account settings and preferences
Push-notification tokens registered to your account

What is retained

For legal, security, and abuse-prevention reasons, a small amount of information may be retained for a limited time after deletion:

Records of policy violations or moderation actions, when required to keep our community safe
Information we are legally required to keep (for example, to comply with tax, fraud, or law-enforcement obligations)
Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to you

This residual information cannot be used to identify you and is purged on a routine schedule.

Before you delete

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you'd like a copy of your data first, you can request an export from inside the app under Settings → Request My Data. Exports are provided in JSON, HTML, and CSV formats.
